Accessibility
Accessibility statement for maisonsouldesign.fr: compliance status, known limitations and means of redress.
Drawn up on 26 October 2026 — last updated: 20 October 2026.
01 — Commitment
SOUL DESIGN is committed to making its website maisonsouldesign.fr, its client area and its project tracking portal accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities, whatever their device and browsing method.
02 — Framework
As a microenterprise within the meaning of Directive (EU) 2019/882 (fewer than 10 employees and annual turnover or balance-sheet total not exceeding 2 million euros), which is the case for SOUL DESIGN (no employees, one work-study apprentice, turnover below that threshold), SOUL DESIGN is not subject to the accessibility requirements that have applied to e-commerce services since 28 June 2025. It nevertheless chooses to comply with them voluntarily and to report on its approach.
Reference framework: European standard EN 301 549 and the French General Accessibility Improvement Framework (RGAA) version 4.1.2, both based on WCAG 2.1 level AA.
03 — Compliance status
The website maisonsouldesign.fr is not compliant with RGAA 4.1.2: no full compliance audit has been carried out yet, and the framework requires an unaudited site to be declared non-compliant. The site is designed to follow these principles: level AA contrasts, keyboard navigation with visible focus, text alternatives for images, a hierarchical heading structure, labelled forms with announced error messages, respect for the “reduce motion” setting, and no horizontal scrolling on mobile.
A full audit will be carried out before SOUL DESIGN exceeds the exemption thresholds; its compliance rate will be published here.
04 — Test results
Automated checks carried out on 17 October 2026; they cover only part of the RGAA criteria and do not replace an audit.
- Lighthouse (Chrome, mobile profile): accessibility score of 100/100 on the Home, Collections, product, Start a project, Configurator, Professionals, Projects, Finance lease, Trade programme, Care and renewal, Second life and Swatch box pages.
- axe-core (through pa11y, WCAG 2.1 AA) on 18 pages: no defect specific to page content; contrast warnings on buttons with animated backgrounds and on the cookie banner, which the tool cannot calculate reliably, remain to be checked manually.
- Forms (brief, contact, trade account, Trade programme, swatch box) filled in and sent in an automated browser, with error messages announced to assistive technologies; the 360° tour can be operated from the keyboard (arrow keys to look around, + and − to zoom).
05 — Non-accessible content
Known non-compliance
- The three-dimensional views of the configurator and product pages, and the 360° tours, are not rendered by screen readers; a described still image and each piece’s dimensions and materials remain available as text.
- The contrast of some buttons with animated backgrounds still has to be checked manually.
- Screen readers (NVDA, VoiceOver) have not yet been tested systematically.
Exemptions for disproportionate burden: none.
Content not subject to accessibility requirements: PDF documents supplied by makers (instructions, technical data sheets), which are neither produced nor funded by SOUL DESIGN; an accessible version or equivalent information is provided on request. Purely decorative photographs are not described, which is compliant when they convey no information.
