Designed with you, mostly at a distance
We start with a visit of the apartment, by ourselves or with you, to measure, photograph and note what stays: parquet, mouldings, fireplaces, existing built-ins. From there, decisions happen by video call and shared documents: a plan of each room with furniture at real size, 3D views, mood boards and a selection with photos and dimensions. Material samples can be shipped to you, so you touch the fabric and the wood before deciding.
You approve in writing at each step. Nothing is ordered on an impression.
European furniture, bespoke where the apartment asks for it
Most pieces come from European makers we select for quality and lead time: sofas, dining tables, beds, lighting, rugs. Paris apartments often call for bespoke pieces too: a sofa sized for an alcove, a dining table for a narrow room, a desk between two windows. Those are drawn by us and made by partner workshops and upholsterers.
Paris interiors reward restraint: high ceilings, tall windows and old floors already carry a lot. We scale pieces to the rooms, often lower and fewer than in a large house, and choose materials that age well, such as solid wood, linen, stone and wool.

Delivery up a Paris staircase
Many Paris buildings have a small lift or none, a narrow staircase and a courtyard. We measure every passage and specify pieces that can get in: modular sofas, tables with removable legs, beds in parts. When a piece cannot pass, a furniture hoist through the window may be needed, with a permit from the city; we organise it.
Delivery is booked with the building manager, floors and walls are protected, and partner installers assemble and place every piece, then remove packaging. Soul Design does not carry out building works such as painting, electrics or kitchens; if needed, we can recommend companies that contract with you directly, and we plan furniture delivery after them.
After you move in
A pied-à-terre is often empty for weeks. We can provide care instructions in English for each material, arrange maintenance visits for upholstery and wood, and be the contact for a repair or an addition when you are away. If you later let the apartment, we can adapt the furniture for rental use.
